Sample Itinerary

9am - After breakfast at your hotel, you will be greeted by your personal driver and transported to the enchanting tree-lined small town of Tenterden.

10.30am -From here you will take a nostalgic trip on a steam train of the Kent & East Sussex Railway that originally began service in 1900 and in more recent years has been saved by enthusiastic volunteers. You will be 'steamed along' at a gentle pace through beautiful countryside, passing through lovingly restored stations.

11am - At the village station of Northiam you will be transferred to nearby Newenden bridge, where you will cruise along the river Rother on the MV Dannie Lee - a small boat ideal for the narrow river.

11.45am - After 45 minutes you will get your first glimpse of the amazing Bodiam castle, which was built in 1385 by Sir Edward Dallyngrigge as a fortress home, but was never attacked. With its stone built towers, battlements and wide moat, Bodiam is most peoples idea of a 'real English castle'.

1.15pm - By now you should have worked up an appetite, so what better than lunch in a typical English pub

2.30pm - After lunch we move on to the town of Battle that was built on the site of England's most famous battle - the Battle of Hastings fought on 14th October 1066, when William of Normandy defeated King Harold. You can take an audio tour of the battlefield and Abbey.

4.30pm - If time allows, the day can be completed with a trip to one of the area's award winning vineyards where you can view the vines and taste the wine.

5.30pm - Transfer back to your hotel.

This is merely an example of the type of day that can be personalised to your own interests.
