Kent & Sussex Tours offer tours for up to 4 persons.
We would like to welcome and help you discover
the beautiful towns, villages, countryside and coastal area to the south of
London. Rich with history, magnificent castles, manor houses and stunning
gardens. So much to see and discover, yet a tranquil change from the city.
Step back in time to the last time that England was conquered by the Norman's at the Battle of Hastings in 1066 (Battle Abbey). Visit the houses and castles of Kings & Queens including the infamous Henry V111 (Leeds Castle, Penshurst Place) and the childhood home of Anne Boleyn at Hever Castle.
The National Trust is a registered charity that has been saving historic houses and gardens from falling in to disrepair since 1895. They care for over 300 historic buildings and 200 gardens throughout the country with many important sites located in the south east. Amongst these are; Chartwell (family home of Sir Winston Churchill), Batemans (home to Rudyard Kipling), Wakehurst Place (Including the Millennium Seed Bank), Standen, Sissinghurst Castle Garden, Bodiam Castle (Stone built castle and moat built in 1385). For American visitors it is possible to join the affiliated Royal Oak Foundation that gives free admission to National Trust properties for up to 60 days.
